What is the
Christ Church Cathedral
After School Music Program?
Using a time-honored method, talented children are given first-rate training in singing and in piano playing. After a period of introduction, these children will be full members of the Cathedral Choir.
When do they meet?
Every afternoon after school.
What do they do?
How much does it cost?
Nothing. In fact, we’ll pay each child a small stipend to participate. The value of instruction to each student is thousands of dollars annually. This program is funded by Christ Church Cathedral through the generosity of its members and through grants.
What do we have to do to participate?
What are the benefits for my child?
Who is eligible?
Any boy or girl entering 3rd or 4th grades, able to read the English language.
A Note from the
Director
Thank you for taking the time to look at our website. If you are a parent or guardian of a musically gifted child I would welcome the opportunity to talk with you. I think you’ll find the people of Christ Church Cathedral to be warm and caring. You will find a welcome here.
Our new music program is based on the British model where children are educated in return for their service to the choir. We’ll provide a high quality after-school program and music training (worth many thousands of dollars annually). All we require is your family’s full participation. Successful students are actually paid a modest amount for their devoted service.
We are affiliated with the Royal School of Church Music, and use its training scheme as a model for our program.
Give me a call or send an email. I look forward to meeting you.
Sincerely,
Jarrett Follette
