The Summer Music Camp is open to children, ages 8 - 12 who wish to learn about music. Our program includes instruction in music, along with play time, and snacks. Our aim is to introduce children to music fundamentals including singing and playing a keyboard instrument. We offer this totally free of charge to members of our community.
The program will be taught
by two well-respected musicians from our community:
Mr. Anthony Sears, who has many years of experience instructing young people in the classroom, and Mr. Jarrett Follette, the Director of Music at Christ Church Cathedral. Both are dedicated to
providing our children a rich experience in learning music fundamentals.
The Summer Music Camp runs daily
from 9:00 AM to Noon, July 27 through August 7.
After this three-week program,
talented children may be offered the opportunity to join our after-school program which will include intensive (free) instruction in singing and keyboard instruments, along with careful supervision and tutorial assistance with homework. Participants in this program will agree to sing in the cathedral choir, for which they will be paid.
